Parole Request
Immigration Parole Request
A Humanitarian Parole can be granted to anybody who has an urgent humanitarian reason to immigrate or who could provide a significant benefit to the public by being in the United States. While the parole is only temporary, it can last for as long as the emergency or humanitarian situation exists.
The procedure for applying for Humanitarian Parole involves filing a Form I-131 Application for Travel Document along with a detailed explanation and documentation supporting your need for Humanitarian Parole.
You must also complete a Form I-134 Affidavit of Support to demonstrate that you will not become a public charge.
Reasons for humanitarian parole can include:
- To care for or support a family member who is seriously or terminally ill
- To attend the funeral of a deceased family member
- To testify in a lawsuit in which the parolee’s presence is necessary to help resolve outstanding legal issues.
